MB Web Design will shortly be launching MyDesignerWebsite, a new service that will allow small businesses to design and launch their website within only a few days for a small annual fee.

At the time of ordering you will be able to customise the template to suit their needs – text font typefaces, header font typefaces, all text colours and background colours can be chosen from a set palette, or you can choose your own!

A problem with some of the ‘usual suspects’ in e-commerce website development is the code. Not that it doesn’t work – everything is as it should be – but there’s so much code that you risk harming your SEO strategy without doing something about it. Looking good – on the strength of my blog mention alone, the Llanelli Builders and Swansea Builders sites have been indexed by Google and rank inside the top 10 search results. Not bad. Similarly, Simply Maternal’s website, after several weeks of Google seemingly ignoring its status inside Webmaster Tools, has been indexed and cached within 24 hours of the blog post going up.
The moral of this story is: Google really likes blog posts.

I’ve recently launched a couple of websites.
RDM Properties is a Llanelli builder and Swansea builder. Unfortunately it is not the most stable industry to be in at the moment! Though the business has been buoyant in past years, the owner is convinced it would be prudent to get a web presence at the top of Google’s search results for builders in his area.
The second website is for Simply Maternal, who are experiencing an unusually long delay is seeing their website listed by Google.
This is where this blog post comes in – I want to investigate how much value Google places in my website by linking to these sites and monitoring what effect it has on search rankings. I’ll report back with the results in a few weeks.
