Logo design: Frequently Asked Questions
How does the logo design process work?
Once you have chosen your logo or stationary package, upon clearance of your non-refundable initial deposit (50% of the total) the design process commences. Within a few days you will be sent the first design concepts. From this selection, the client is encouraged to select one of the designs to proceed with, and to describe in as much detail as possible how the logo should be altered, if at all. Typical examples of revisions are:
- Different fonts and/or font sizes
- Different colours
- Repositioning of graphic elements within the logo
What if I'm unhappy with the logo and/or stationary you produce?
If a satisfactory logo design cannot be established within the constraints of the package ordered (i.e. within the specified number of logo concepts and revisions), and you no longer wish to proceed, then the project will be cancelled and you will not be charged the balance - you'll be pleased to hear that no customer has ever needed to do this! The logos submitted during the design process will remain the intellectual property of MB Web Design.
If a satisfactory logo design cannot be established within the constraints of the package ordered (i.e. within the specified number of logo concepts and revisions), but you may wish to continue revising the design concept until satisfactory, you can opt to pay for each additional revision ad hoc. The balance for the existing package must be paid before proceeding with supplementary revisions.
What do you need from me?
You may have a strong idea about what your logo should look like, or you may have no clue at all. The aim of the initial consultation is to establish who you are, what your business does, and what impression you'd like to convey with your business identity.
How do I add staff names to business cards?
Once your business card designs are completed and paid for, you will be supplied with the master files. You or the printing company you choose will be able to add the names and contact details of other people.
Do you print the stationary?
MB Web Design does not currently offer a printing service for your stationary. Your completed file formats will be supplied in file formats that you can take to any commercial printing company for printing.
Will I own the logo and the stationary design?
Upon settling your final balance, MB Web Design will supply you with all of the original files for the logo and/or stationary. At this point, the copyright for your chosen logo design and/or stationary design will become yours.
What about the designs I don't use?
All discarded design concepts remain the intellectual property of MB Web Design.
